Don "Memphis Lee" Lafave
Drums
When bored as a kid with a hyper over active imagination and an 8 track player, he found himself in the garage using flipped paintbrushes on paint cans to play along to the Beatles. At age 12 was able to afford his first kit. Purchased from his cousin with no instructions or training, it all came natural. Setting up the kit quickly and driving his parents nuts. Playing along to records and tapes for hours on end. Finally taking private lessons at the age of 21 and began to transition from Rock N Roll to Jazz and Blues. After playing with several Rock N Roll bands in and around San Diego, met up with Virgil Johnson and "Aces High" performing locally for years. Country music became a great source of inspiration and fun. Now focusing back on his roots of Rock N Roll, combined with the feel of Blues and Country as only the "King" could offer he’s driving the rhythm that is "Graceland."
